Frequently Asked Questions
The things customers ask us most often, grouped by topic. If your question is not here, message us and someone from the shop will answer it directly.
Visiting the store
Do I need an appointment for an eye test?
No. We do not run an appointment system. Walk in any time between 10:30 am and 8 pm, Monday to Saturday. If you would rather avoid a wait, message us on WhatsApp and we will suggest a quieter time of day.
What are your store hours?
Monday to Saturday, 10:30 am to 8 pm. We are closed on Sundays.
Where exactly are you located in Jalgaon?
Shop No. 139, next to Godavari Laxmi Bank, Navi Peth, Jaikisan Wadi, Jalgaon 425001. We are close to Phule Market and PVR Cinemas.
How long does a typical visit take?
About forty minutes from walking in to placing an order, including an eye test, frame selection and measurement. Collecting your finished glasses is a much shorter second visit.
What should I bring with me?
Your current glasses, even if they are old or broken, and your last prescription if you have one. Neither is required, but both make the visit faster.
Eye tests and prescriptions
What happens during an eye test?
We start with computerised refraction to get an objective baseline, then move to subjective testing where we refine it against what you actually see. We check near vision and compare the result against the glasses you arrived in.
Is your eye test a substitute for seeing an eye doctor?
No. An in-store test supports the fitting of prescription eyewear. It is not a comprehensive medical eye examination. If we notice anything that should be looked at medically, we will tell you plainly and recommend you see an ophthalmologist.
How often should I get my eyes tested?
Every one to two years for most adults, and annually for children, anyone over sixty, and anyone with a prescription that has been changing. Come sooner if your vision changes, or if you are getting headaches or eye strain.
Can I use a prescription from another optician?
Yes. We will usually re-check it, partly because prescriptions from different sources are written slightly differently, and partly because it is free and takes a few minutes.
Will you tell me if I do not need new glasses?
Yes. If your prescription has not meaningfully changed and your current glasses are in good order, we will say so. A small shift on paper does not always justify new lenses.
Frames and brands
What brands do you carry?
our labels across three collections. Luxury: Tom Ford, Gucci, Burberry, Montblanc, Silhouette, Zegna, Hugo and Boss. Premium: Ray-Ban, Ray-Ban Meta, Carrera, Armani Exchange, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Stepper, Vogue Eyewear and Dr. Harmann. Everyday: Elle, Seesaw, Pavarotti, Scott and Opium.
Can I check whether a particular frame is in stock before visiting?
Yes, and we would recommend it if you have something specific in mind. Message us on WhatsApp or call the store and we will confirm availability before you make the trip.
How do I know the frames are genuine?
Every label we carry is sourced through authorised channels, and each frame comes with its brand case, cloth and documentation. Genuine frames also carry crisp model, colour and size codes inside the temple arm.
How do I know which frame suits my face?
That is what the styling part of the visit is for. We work through face shape, proportion and colouring and shortlist three or four frames rather than leaving you with a wall of options. Our frame fit guide covers the same ground in writing.
Do you stock frames for very narrow or very wide faces?
Yes. Part of how we choose which labels to carry is whether they offer a real range of sizes rather than one flattering sample width. Tell us what has fitted badly before and we will work from there.
Lenses
Do I need high index lenses?
It depends on your prescription. For mild prescriptions a higher index will not look meaningfully different and you are paying for a number. For strong prescriptions it changes how the glasses look and feel considerably. We will tell you which situation you are in.
Are blue light filter lenses worth it?
The evidence is mixed. Some people report less eye strain during long screen days, others notice nothing at all. It is worth trying if screens tire you, and not worth insisting on otherwise. Anti-reflective coating helps far more people.
Why do my progressives feel uncomfortable?
Usually because the fitting heights were measured incorrectly, or because the frame is too shallow for the corridor. Bring them in. We will re-check the measurements and tell you honestly what has gone wrong.
Can you put new lenses in my existing frame?
Usually, yes. If the frame is structurally sound we can reglaze it to your new prescription, which is often the sensible option when only your eyes have changed. We check the frame first and tell you if it will not survive the process.
Do you make prescription sunglasses?
Yes, in most frames we stock, including progressives, and we can also glaze prescription tinted or polarised lenses into a frame you already own.
Is there a charge for adjustments?
My glasses are scratched. Can they be polished out?
Not reliably. Scratches in a lens coating cannot be buffed away without damaging the coating further. If the prescription is still correct, replacing just the lenses in your existing frame is usually the right answer.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card, UPI and cash. If you would like to confirm anything about payment before visiting, call the shop.
Do you keep my prescription on record?
Yes. Your prescription, frame measurements and lens specification stay on file, so a spare or a replacement does not mean starting over. We also call when a recheck is due.
